Man Killed In Fire At Hunterdon County Housing Complex For Disabled Residents

A man was killed in a fire at a housing complex for disabled residents Sunday morning in Hunterdon County, authorities said.

Firefighters and rescue crews found the man dead in one of the units at Meadows at Oldwick on Fisher Road in Tewskbury Township around 6:30 a.m., Whitehouse Rescue Squad Chief Jeff Herzog said.

The blaze was confined to the one unit, and the victim's identity was pending investigation by the medical examiner's officer, police said.

Further details were not released and no other injuries were reported. The cause was under investigation Sunday afternoon.
